Being generous always seems to smooth me out. When I am generous I seem to attract my own good feelings from within. Generosity seems to be a salve for me. To give a little of anything, it could be a kind word or a bit of encouragement, makes me feel better about me. I feel and can experience that I am doing something that is generative and constructive.

Getting the JOB Done
Sometimes there is great joy in getting the job completed. Sometimes it feels like it was a lot of work. Sometimes it takes a lot of conversation and conflict resolution. Sometimes it just takes looking and sampling and trying it all out over and over and over… The process of getting a job to completion can sometimes seem interminable. Then finally there comes a point and one can say… Is this complete? Have I done all I can do?
Finally when you can answer… Yes, I have done all I can do.
Acknowledging that the job is complete. That all that can be done has been done…
I adore that moment when you can breathe a sigh of relief. Know that the job is done and that the process of doing can rest and the moments for acknowledgement can take place.
Tony and I just bought a new car. We have not bought a car in 20 years and this was a pleasure. We got to look and sample and do all kinds of research. Then we got to go out and test drive and finally after all of our exploration we made the choice and took the leap. The job is done.The work of making a choice is complete.
The new car will be here sometime next week. I am looking forward to the pleasure of all that is new and exciting… ❤

There is a sweet and delicious curiousity that is present today.
The weekend is fast approaching. Another Body Electric workshop and there will be men from far and near. I am always curious about who will show up. This curiousity builds in me and augments and amplifies my energy. There is a sweetness that has developed over the years as I have held the space for men to come together and explore on levels that are often taboo and or held so closely as to be inscrutable. My curiousity expands and grows over the weekend as these taboo subjects of sex and sexuality are opened up. My curiousity expands and grows over the weekend as that which is inscrutable becomes clear and manifests some new meaning.
Today I will be infused with curiousity and the sweet pleasure of preparing the nest.

Reading today.
Preparing for a diagnostic surgery tomorrow. I am preparing for what will happen tomorrow and creating some time over the weekend for recovery.
I am reading, “The Velvet Rage: Overcoming the Pain of Growing Up Gay in a Straight Man’s World”. Having read a few pages I have an inkling now that this read is going to be a valuable and informative journey. My first response… “I wish … that man who was my primary teacher and trainer while I was training to become a counsellor had read this… Perhaps he would have been more empathetic as a gay man working with other gay men…”
This is going to be a delightful ride, a ride and a read and a rest that I am looking forward to. I am sure this book will take my mind off of the fear and wondering about the surgical procedure taking place tomorrow, I have this thought that this read will sooth me and help me rejuvenate.
Today I will be happy and joyful and in the pleasure of being me… AS PINK AS THAT IS!

Rest has transformed the way I feel.
Yesterday I took care of many small detailed elements that were stressing me.
Today I feel well rested after a deep and undisturbed sleep. Last night was the first night in many that I felt no pain in the middle of the night. To wake up after a night of rest was delightful.
I feel energized and enriched by rest.
Today I will take care of a few more pieces, I will allow for the tranquility to flow. I will savour the delight of feeling rested and rejuvenated and unafraid.

Today as I stretch and get ready for the day I see, feel and experience the depth and strength of the interconnections of life.
A wonderful letter from a man now living in China, a wonderful response to my website from a man in Manitoba, the ebb and flow of clients, the surety of friends, the depth and strength of my husband. All of these interpersonal elements and more unspoken threads weave together around me and form the fabric of my life.
The fabric warms and shields and soothes me. The fabric is a brilliant colour and has a stimulating pattern, the fabric awakens me. The fabric is resilient and has untested strength, the fabric shields me.
Today I will fall into the depth of safety that the fabric of my life has brought to me. I will cherish the fabric and adore each individual thread. I will savour each fibre that reinforces each thread.
