The Moment

The moment when, after many years
of hard work and a long voyage
you stand in the centre of your room,
house, half-acre, square mile, island, country,
knowing at last how you got there,
and say, I own this,

is the same moment when the trees unloose
their soft arms from around you,
the birds take back their language,
the cliffs fissure and collapse,
the air moves back from you like a wave
and you can’t breathe.

No, they whisper. You own nothing.
You were a visitor, time after time
climbing the hill, planting the flag, proclaiming.
We never belonged to you.
You never found us.
It was always the other way round.

Margaret Atwood

Beauty in the Moment ~ 2009

Kindness and Truth.

Expressing Kindness and Truth can be a path to unconditional positive regard. Being able to hold oneself with kindness and tell oneself the truth  in a kind way, can lead to holding oneself with a view of unconditional positive regard. Being compassionate with oneself can work as a model to be more able to be compassionate with others.

LOVE ~ the JUICY Heart ❤

Today I will do my best to hold myself kindly and to tell myself the truth in a kind way.

Imaging and preparing today.

There is much new on the horizon. Today I will prepare for the newness of the new and the unknown quality of what has not been experienced before. I will play on both sides. Eager in the joy and exuberance of the unknown.

I will revel in surprise.

Power Surrender and Intimacy ~ BDSM with the Body Electric School Discovering the Play in Bondage and Discipline.

Everything is an experiment.

When I experiment there is little attachment to the outcome.

Today I will be experimenting, looking to see what happens when…  Today will be about seeing what happens if…

Adding a dash of this or a little of that…

Generosity

Being generous always seems to smooth  me out. When I am generous I seem to attract my own good feelings from within. Generosity seems to be a salve for me. To give a little of anything, it could be a kind word or a bit of encouragement, makes me feel better about me. I feel and can experience that I am doing something that is generative and constructive.

Today I will be generous. Smiling ❤

Set Yourself FREE!

Only you have to power to set yourself free. Give yourself the control to be in the driving seat.

I feel so much better when I let myself be exactly who and how I am even with the influence of external forces. I feel so much better when I know I am free. I feel so much better when I know I am determining my future. I feel so much better when I contribute to myself. I feel so much better when I let myself shine.

Today I will be FREE!

Exploration.

Exploring, going on a journey to find new and yet undiscovered territory. I love to explore and seek out new and sample unknown and move to the edge to see some new and until now unvisited place. This exploration could be within myself or on another part of the globe. Exploring with an open heart and mind and body brings me excitement and the pleasure of new discoveries.

Today I will explore, and seek new discoveries within myself

“You must ask for what you really want…”

Life is amazing when you begin to ask. Life begins to happen. That life is happening brings trust that we will be heard. Being heard means asking for more. Asking for more brings abundance. Abundance builds and grows in other areas and soon we can have a life that is full of what we have been asking for.

Don’t go back to sleep…

Thanks to Harry Faddis for the art and to Rumi for the poem and to all of the seekers who have carried this image with them, that I might have the honour to share.

There is a sweet and delicious curiousity that is present today.

The weekend is fast approaching. Another Body Electric workshop and there will be men from far and near. I am always curious about who will show up. This curiousity builds in me and augments and amplifies my energy. There is a sweetness that has developed over the years as I have held the space for men to come together and explore on levels that are often taboo and or held so closely as to be inscrutable. My curiousity expands and grows over the weekend as these taboo subjects of sex and sexuality are opened up. My curiousity expands and grows over the weekend as that which is inscrutable becomes clear and manifests some new meaning.

Today I will be infused with curiousity and the sweet pleasure of preparing the nest.

Inspiration today comes from:

The Summer Day

by Mary Oliver

Who made the world?

Who made the swan, and the black bear?

Who made the grasshopper?

This grasshopper I mean—

the one who has flung herself out of the grass,

the one who is eating sugar out of my hand,

who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down—

Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face.

Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away.

I don’t know exactly what a prayer is.

I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down

into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,

how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,

which is what I have been doing all day.

Tell me, what else should I have done?

Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?

Tell me, what is it you plan to do

with your one wild and precious life?
