OFF to SWIM – HARD!

Swimming is exhuberant and JOYFUL for me…

The water awaits with gurgling anticipation… I anticipate with liquid glee…

SPLASH! ❤

Sometime I can become obsessed with a project…

Today when I mentioned this to my husband… I said something like … “I feel bad because I have become obsessed with this latest project” He in turn surprised me and replied. That my obsessions were some of my best attributes and sometimes the result of the obsessive work was some of my most brilliant creation.

I was surprised. I had always thought that those projects that could consume my entire energy were not my best moments… Sometimes I just have no clue of what those around me are truly thinking. I am glad my husband shared his experience. I am glad because I had a little insight into myself that I often do not see.

Sometimes things are not as they appear... Strega Rome 2010

and on we GO! That word “ON” was very carefully chosen… Onward hoooo

Everything is full of contrast… light and dark, soft and hard, floating and still, fast and slow…

Finding the middle is a challenge and fun… The only thing that is not contrasted is the forward motion. I am moving ahead and there is nothing that indicates one step forward and two steps back.

I can’t wait to see what happens with all of the movement.

Ingo Maurer and Zettel’z 5 are on their way to our dining room! YAY! Another poem in a delicious and delightful way!

The impulse turned to action and there was little judgement and little back and forth dithering and indecision. I look forward to the arrival of Zettle’z 5 the newest addition to home!

Today …  Shiva  …

“Lord Shiva is … In images, He is represented as a handsomeyoung manimmersed in deep meditation or dancing the Tandava upon Apasmara, the demon of ignorance in his manifestation of Nataraja, the Lord of the dance, goodness, humility, and every good quality a human should have. It is said that He looks like an eternal youth because of his authority over death, rebirth and immortality. He is also the father of Ganesha… “

Coming soon more new for the Downtown Swim Club

Oh! The places you’ll go…

Your mountain is waiting so get on your way.

Pretty much everything is not as it seems. There are always layers and layers under and over and in and out.

Today I will look through the reflection and see what is under the surface. Today I will look further inside and outside to see what is.

Perhaps it is nothing… – ♥ –

Perhaps it is everything… – ♥ –

Today fresh and new.

Starting from yesterday where I had to take a step I did not want to take. I wonder what will come today and which step I will take…  I love this poem it is so on about looking inside to begin.

From David Whyte

START CLOSE IN

Start close in,
don’t take the second step
or the third,
start with the first
thing
close in,
the step
you don’t want to take.

Start with
the ground
you know,
the pale ground
beneath your feet,
your own
way of starting
the conversation.

Start with your own
question,
give up on other
people’s questions,
don’t let them
smother something
simple.

To find
another’s voice,
follow
your own voice,
wait until
that voice
becomes a
private ear
listening
to another.

Start right now
take a small step
you can call your own
don’t follow
someone else’s
heroics, be humble
and focused,
start close in,
don’t mistake
that other
for your own.

Start close in,
don’t take
the second step
or the third,
start with the first
thing
close in,
the step
you don’t want to take
